Olive Cotton (Life and Work)
Cotton studied arts at Sydney University, majoring in mathematics, and went to work with Max Dupain, in his studio, as an assistant. Cotton's curious career reflects the imbalances in gender and various social restrictions. She was drawn to the play and the movement of light to enhance her photos to make it perfect for the viewer to understand and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Max Dupain- More Edits
I think this image is great as the various shades of grey, black and white shine throughout the image. The shot is taken on a beach from a low viewpoint in an abundance of weeds.
I took this image from a high view point looking down on the leaves and the silhouetted person in the background. I think the shadows in the image go well with contrast of the dark and light colours in the foreground and the background.
This image is taken from a low view point looking at the stumps of a tree and an opening in a fence. The shadows of the tree are found on the deck towards the bottom of the image. The different tones in the image create a sense of balance and unity.
